Virginia Beach Roofing

The Early Days of Peninsula Home Insulation

The name "West" has been attached to the roofing business since 1946, when Roger West, Jr. started Peninsula Home Insulation Company on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Originally the company provided insulation and storm windows to hundred of homeowners on the Delmarva peninsula. When Millard Tawes, the governor of Maryland's house in Chrisfield needed insulation, West was the man called for the job.

Since the beginning, thousands of homes have been re-roofed by the Wests. The location above was in Exmore, built in 1973.
